Phoenix Brighton etc

I just wanted to flag up that Phoenix Brighton, where I co-ordinate the arts courses and the white night festival, would be very keen to get involved with young people’s projects (perhaps as a partner organisation). From our building in central Brighton we have three workshop spaces, a large gallery (which shows contemporary work suitable for school/young people’s visits) and the largest artists studios complex in the south-east of England (with around 100 studios). I often involve Phoenix Brighton in the young people’s projects I run as part of my own practice – such as http://web.mac.com/annadumitriu/AD/Varndean_Curating_Project.html and http://web.mac.com/annadumitriu/AD/Data_Steps.html and it has proved very popular. On a personal note, as a practicing artist working in socially engaged settings I am keen to make links with others who might be interested in working with me.

We are definitely interested in working with you both within the frame of the Phoenix and the White Night. In particular I would like to introduce to you the practice mixing art and physical theatre we were working with. Let us know when you are available.
