Please see email below from Julia Box regarding the Youth Arts Festival. It would be great if you could reply with an expression of interest by Friday 19th November.

Hi Hazel, please could you forward this to all of the groups who have participated in past Youth Arts Festivals and other colleagues who may wish to do so this year.
Dear YAF participants and potential participants,
As you know around this time of year we start to send out details of the Youth Arts Festival which takes place annually in April/May. We are slightly late in doing so this year as due to the potential cuts in services we were unsure as to whether we could plan for something in April 2011. However I’m delighted to say that we have now been given the go ahead and we will be sending out information/registration packs shortly.
As in previous years Sarah and Hazel, 2 of the Youth Arts Project team’s visual arts workers have some hours available to support the delivery of art projects within other projects/agencies and in addition we have some funding to bring in other artists to groups who might not otherwise be able to get involved in the festival due to financial constraints. This could be singing workshops, graffiti, drama, comedy, photography etc. So please let us know if you are interested.
The pack will give full details of dates etc. once we have confirmed venues but it is intended that the festival will cross over between the end of April and the beginning of May so those who prefer to link with the main Brighton Festival can do so and those who have found it easier to get venues outside of Brighton Festival time can also do so.
We are really excited about being able to co-ordinate the festival once again and whilst being under the current constraints and concerns regarding future funding for all youth projects we intend to make a big noise and create an impact, promoting and celebrating the creative work of young people and highlighting the excellent work of the organisations working with them.
We look forward to hearing from you and working with you towards another fantastic Youth Arts Festival.
All the best, Julia
