Subject: One-off public performance of a special Glyndebourne project

Dear all,

Please find below an e flyer for an upcoming performance by a fantastic group of young people who have been working with Glyndebourne Education on a project following on from the success of Bonfire Night at the end of last year. This project is in partnership with Glyndebourne Education, Brighton Youth Offending Services, Brighton Dome and Audioactive. The group have been working really hard progressing on from the hip-hop theatre play into a more musical theatre based production based on the Opera Don Giovanni! It would be wonderful to have your support – please do bring along any young people you may be working with and spread the word!!

Hope to see you there!

All the best,

Johnny Boy at Brighton Dome

From the partners who brought you last year’s hit production Bonfire Night

For the past two months, young people from across Brighton have been involved in a unique project exploring the opera Don Giovanni. Working with an artistic team from Glyndebourne, they’ve been getting to grips with the music, story and characters, and have recreated the opera in their own distinctive style…introducing Johnny Boy.

              Say hello to Johnny Boy…

He can do what he likes; have any girl he wants; get away with murder…
              Well, that’s what he
likes to think.

But if we follow our animal instincts where will it lead?
How high’s the price? And who pays in the end?

Music, murder, mayhem…  What’s not to like?

Johnny Boy
culminates in a one-off public performance. Don’t miss it – book your tickets now!

              When: Sunday 10 July, 7pm
Where: Pavilion Theatre at Brighton Dome
              Cost: £6 (£3 concessions)
How to book: call 01273 709709 or visit

We hope you can join us – see you there.
