Hijack Children’s Festival 2014 – Associate Programme Call Out

We are delighted to let you know that we received our funding for Hijack Children’s Festival 2014!

Hijack Children’s Festival puts Brighton and Hove into the hands of children and families. Taking over venues, libraries and Jubilee Square between Saturday 12th – Monday 21st April 2014 Hijack is full of interactive and innovative events created by fantastic artists, especially for 3 – 11 year olds (and their adults).

We’ve an exciting programme lined up this year with an interactive installation with Slovenian artists ProstoRõz; performances for children only by non zero one; metal workshops by Mr Watt, grumpy Man of Metal; a new film for bedtime by Fevered Sleep; a Buster Keaton Triple Bill; and gigs for kids from The Swing Ninjas and The Downing Street Years.  It’s going to be great fun. You can read more about the programme on our website: www.hijackhq.com.

We’re gearing up at Hijack HQ and keen to hear about other arts/cultural activities in the city for 3 – 11 year olds that we can include in the Associate Programme listings we are compiling for our website. We’ll be referencing the Associate Programme in future press releases and through our social media.

I’ve put together an information form below – if you have an activity or event for 3 – 11 years olds happening between 12th – 21st April then we’d love to hear about it.

Please note that there is a strict word count available so please stick within 40-50 words of copy. If you have a number of individual events under a festival banner than we’d recommend sending us information on your festival with a link to a more detailed programme on your website.

The deadline for sending us this information is 5pm on Tuesday 4th March. You’ll need to send the information form to hello@hijackhq.com.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you soon

Emily Coleman
